Train Collision in Punjab Province Leaves Over 30 Injured

In a recent incident that unfolded in Pakistan’s Punjab province, over 30 individuals sustained injuries when a passenger train collided with a stationary freight train on the main railway line. This incident, as reported by the media, transpired near the Qila Sattar Shah Station, situated within the Sheikhupura district.

Emergency response teams on the scene confirmed that a total of 31 passengers were among the injured as a result of the collision. Subsequently, five of the wounded passengers were swiftly transported to the district headquarters hospital for medical attention.

Officials from the railway department have since initiated an investigation into the causes and circumstances surrounding this unfortunate collision.

In response to the incident, a spokesperson for the railways department released a statement assuring the public that train operations continue to run smoothly within the Lahore division, despite the collision. Moreover, the railway track has been efficiently cleared, minimizing disruptions to the railway network.
