“SHOCKING: Met Police Scandal Revealed – Armed Soldiers Deployed After Officers Surrender Weapons! ????????”

Ministry of Defence Offers Military Assistance Following Disarming of Met Officers

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has extended its support to the London police force by offering the assistance of armed soldiers, as more than a hundred Metropolitan Police officers voluntarily surrendered their firearms permits.

This unprecedented move by the Met Police follows the tragic incident involving the shooting death of 24-year-old Chris Kaba in south London last year. A Met Police officer has been charged with Mr. Kaba’s murder, leading to heightened concerns within the police force.

The MoD revealed that it received a request, known as Military Aid to the Civil Authorities (MACA), from the Home Office. This request sought routine counterterrorism contingency support for the Metropolitan Police, should such assistance become necessary.

In response to the situation, the Met Police acknowledged that some of its officers were experiencing anxiety and apprehension, particularly after a fellow marksman was charged with the murder of Chris Kaba. This development has prompted discussions about the use of firearms within the police force.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman called for a comprehensive review of armed policing in light of these unfolding events. She emphasized the vital role played by courageous firearms officers in safeguarding the public, recognizing the extraordinary pressures they face in making split-second decisions.

Braverman stated unequivocally that these officers had her full support and pledged to utilize her authority to provide them with the necessary backing. She emphasized the importance of public safety and the challenging nature of the responsibilities entrusted to firearms officers.

Chris Kaba tragically lost his life during a police operation in Streatham Hill on September 5, 2022. He was struck by a gunshot fired by a Met Police officer into the vehicle he was driving, succumbing to his injuries in the hospital the following day. Mr. Kaba, a construction worker, was on the verge of becoming a father when the incident occurred. His death sparked a series of protests and has prompted a critical examination of policing practices.
